Replace old toilets with new low GPF toilets – Harvard MA

Swapping two old toilets for low-GPF models

A homeowner in Harvard picked out two new low-GPF toilets and needed them installed in place of the old ones. Low-GPF just means gallons per flush — these newer models use a fraction of the water the old ones did, so you’re flushing away the same thing with a lot less going down the pipe.

Setting the new toilets so they flush right

We pulled both old toilets, set the new ones on fresh wax seals, and got them level and bolted tight. The two things that matter on a toilet install — a good seal so there’s no hidden leak, and a solid set so it doesn’t rock — we made sure both were right before we called it done.

If you’ve got toilets in Harvard or anywhere in MetroWest that are chugging water or just worn out, call Richard T. Curley Plumbing & Heating at (978) 562-3736. Low-GPF toilets pay for themselves over time — and we’ll swap yours in without the hassles.
