Removing the disposal and repiping the drain

A customer in Stow wanted their garbage disposal taken out. They just didn’t use it anymore, and it was one more thing sitting under the sink that could leak or jam. So the job was simple: remove the disposal, and pipe the sink drain back up as a straight line so everything keeps flowing clean.

How the drain got reconfigured

We disconnected the disposal, capped off what needed capping, and repiped the drain so the sink now runs straight to the trap without a disposal in the way. Done right, you’d never know one was ever there — no leaks, no leftover hardware, and one less thing under the sink to fail. Sometimes the best fix is taking something out, not putting something in.
